Interests: I would probably try most anything once, and really wish that I could. But some passions that stick out in my head are art (specifically photography....I hope to do that full-time one day), music (It's been a gradually slow process of learning to play the guitar..but I love music!), People (i love babies too- i want to open up an orphanage someday), Traveling (I want to take a trip around the world in the near future!). There are tons more things I'm interested in, but those are at the top of my list for the moment...

Here's a quick update....gotta love the bullet point method:

*I finished my CNA class on July 26th...so now I have to pay to take a state test and get certified. Then I can look for jobs in hospitals or doctor's offices. Still trusting God on the job situation and nursing school.

*It's my last day in London. My mom, sis and have been over here for the last 10 days sightseeing and exploring. I've seen so many things that books and movies have referenced. It's been great. I'll have to post up some pictures when I get back to the USA. Some of the places we've been are: Stonehenge, Cambridge, London, York, Bath, etc.

*I am heading home tomorrow and have been praying and simply trusting God for the next step as far a job goes. So the rest of this week simply holds job searching and working on my applications and information for Nursing school. I feel almost as if it's 2004 and I am graduating from TU again. Now I have to begin to look for a job and what I want to do next...almost doesn't seem fair. I have been thinking a lot about Taylor this past week or so and just really have been reminded how blessed I was and still am to have all of you girls in my life. SO many times I want to go back to being that close to tons of great people....but God is good now too. I am just believing and expecting great things to come in the future as well.

The CNA class has started...I absolutely love the teacher.  She is very open and relaxed, making the four hours a day enjoyable.   It's 190 hours of class over the next two months, at the end of which I will be able to take the State CNA board and begin working in a hospital...I'm excited for that.  I have to buy scrubs, a bp cuff and a stethoscope for this class.  I'm sure that none of this makes any of you excited, but it does me!  So excited..

Other than class, I have been helping a friend of mine as he's shooting a short film here in town.  His script has already been entered into several festivals and looks as if it has a great chance to make it even further down the road of fame.  So...that's been fun.  I have taken some on set pictures for him and was actually in a scene as  an extra (a suprise to me until after he had already filmed it).  It's been neat to be on the set and see how the filming actually works.

Summer is coming and the warm weather is simply inspiring to me.  I love it......baseball games, cookouts, volleyball, the beach.  Ahh...I love summer! :)

Hi all my girls...

I know that it truly has been an eternity since I've posted on here.   BUT...i'm back :)
Between night classes (which are now over), working full time at the bank ( which is also over) and church....life has been a whirlwind.

As of last week, I finished my first night class- Anatomy and Physiology.  I can now apply for the 2 yr associate degree nursing program at GTCC (A community college here in town).  So....nursing classes would officially start in September if I get in.  We'll see how that goes.

I turned in my two weeks notice at the bank i was working at and yesterday was my last day.  I had talked to them about some of the summer classes I wanted to take and they were unwilling to be more flexible with my schedule so I felt God leading me to look for something else.

I am taking a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Class over the summer, which starts on Monday.  I'm pretty excited about that because once I am certified, I can work in a hospital or preferably the ER....while going to school.  So I am just praying for God's direction and guidance to find a way to make some money until after I get certified- which will be the end of July.

The weather here in NC is beautiful....sunny and 86 today.  Weather like this reminds me of why I loved growing up here so much.  I am loving the church that I'm connected to here.  There has been a group of people, 20-30 year olds getting together twice a month to pray and talk and seek God's leading for our lives and the city we are in.  It has been amazing to see what God has done in some of the people's lives...seriously amazing things.   God has been pouring out blessing in more ways than I can count.  It's incredible.  So I am just seeking God and waiting for Him to do the same in my life.

I hope that you guys are all doing great.   I know I don't post here very often or hardly at all....but I do read them.  I LOVE hearing how each one of you are doing and it was truly AMAZING to see the few of you I saw at Leann's in April.  Love you girls!

A new entry...

I spend very little time on a computer anymore...except at work.  So I am going to simply sum up my life right now in a few points.

  • My day starts from about 6:30 every morning...I am so not meant for the early morning hours.
  • I work the typical 8-5 job as a teller for a local bank called "high point bank" (6pm on Fridays...why banks stay open on Fridays I will never understand).
  • I joined a gym right near work to train for the Mini in May and to try to start a healthier lifestyle.   So I end up there after work almost everyday.
  • I am starting to take a couple classes in January at a local community college to work towards a nursing degree.  Anatomy and Physiology, here I come! I'll be taking those at night.
  • I am loving the church I go to here in Greensboro....there are some really great people there who have invested time and energy into me.  My weekends are pretty much filled with these people.
  • I am considering moving out into an apt (with a girl from church) in February....very excited about that opportunity.
  • Christmas is and was good.  Time with the family is always fun.
  • I am definitely ready to start new year and to begin things anew.

Love you, girls so much!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :)

Yes...I'm alive :)  Life has been crazy lately...actually since I arrrived on US soil in July.  So...I'll go through a brief rundown here since I haven't been able to get up with all of you guys yet!

* I have a job now.  I am a teller at High Point Bank.  This is my first real week ( I've had 2 previous weeks of training and now I'm on my own) and I'm enjoying it so far.  I still think I'd prefer being in New Zealand and traveling and not working...but who wouldn't?!  So, I'm slowly adjusting to dressing up EVERY day and wearing heels, etc.  I don't even recognize myself some days ;)

* Short synopsis.  I've been dealing with a boy at church and some stuff that happened between us about 5 days after I got back to the US.  I'm not really at a good point to talk about it, but that's been consuming a lot of my energy- emotional and physical.  So, sorry again if I haven't made the time to get up with you personally yet!  I will.....

* I am missing Indy and all my good friends like crazy.  It's been a struggle to decide whether to move away or stay in NC.  Personally, I want to move...but I have never felt more strongly lead by God to be here in Greensboro at the church that I'm involved in- which makes it all the more difficult in dealing with this boy issue.  All I want to do is run away at times...

* I am super excited to see everyone at Leann's wedding and then again in January!  Yeah :)  I'm still struggling to get the Friday off of work early enough so that I can get up in time to see everyone and make it to the rehearsal, etc.  So, please pray that the details would all work out!  Thanks so much :)  I can't wait, girls!

I love you all so much and know that even though I suck at keeping up to date online... I am reading your posts and missing you more than ever~

See you soon (seriously!)
